Health Education Specialist
Lauren Raack was born in California and raised in Reno, Nevada. She attended the University of Nevada, Reno where she received a bachelor’s degree in Community Health Sciences with an emphasis in Public Health and a minor in Developmental Disabilities. She is currently working on the Online MPH program through the University of Nevada, Reno. Lauren is passionate about promoting health and wellbeing as well as providing access to health services and advocating for those in need. She is interested in working on health programs through education and outreach. In her free time, Lauren enjoys being outdoors, spending time with friends and family, and working on home improvement projects.
Lauren is the Health Education Specialist for the Nevada Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (NVCLPPP). She works to eliminate one of the most preventable environmental outcomes in children – lead poisoning.This is done through education and outreach efforts to provide families with information on lead poisoning in order to increase blood lead level testing in children under the age of six.
