Nevada Public Health Foundation (NPHF) follows the core principles of grant management. Each grant awarded is given a project file used to document essential business information and hold papers. As the approved activities are carried out, the results are noted for demonstrated compliance. A sound financial management system is in place utilizing generally accepted accounting principles for non profits. A system of cost management and controls to ensure proper cost allocation and compliance required by the funding source is in place. NPHF reports fairly and accurately on the spending of funds. NPHF has a regular audit (yearly) which examines income expenditures associated with a grant to determine whether financial transactions are properly recorded and documented according to generally accepted account principles.
