President/CEO, Nevada Rural Hospital Partners


 

An executive health care leader with over 30 years of experience, working extensively in the area of rural health and promotion for the underserved populations, Joan Hall is the President/CEO of Nevada Rural Hospital Partners (NRHP).  NRHP is a voluntary consortium of Nevada’s small and rural hospitals which focuses on solutions to the issues and challenges faced by its members.  Owned by member hospitals, NRHP’s mission is all about ensuring the viability of rural health care through a broad range of programs and services intended to enhance quality, reduce costs, generate savings,  share resources, expand the use of technology, and shape the operating environment for facilities through regulatory and legislative advocacy. Ms. Hall has had many roles in rural health care including Chief Nursing Officer and CEO at South Lyon Medical Center.  She also worked as a per diem RN in many rural hospital ERs. Her background has allowed her to lead NRHP members and provide mentorship to assist leadership and staff with organizational management. In 1991, Hall was awarded the Rural Nurse of the Year for her initiatives to improve patient outcomes, and in 2007, she was awarded the Northern Nevada Health Care Hero Administrator award.   She serves on the Boards of many health care related organizations.  Hall is a native Nevadan and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Nevada.
