Nevada Public Health Foundation serves to strengthen public health in Nevada. We do this by building awareness through statewide partnerships, implementing statewide programs, and promoting actions to address public health needs. We are proud to have assisted in building community relationships, services, and programs throughout Nevada on topics such as emergency preparedness, HIV, statutory rape, and more.
Statutory Rape Prevention Program
Since its creation, the Statutory Rape Prevention Program has educated our communities on statutory rape laws in Nevada to prevent age-gap relationships and raise awareness on the harmful effects on victims. Through this program, our mission is to help teens learn how to foster safe, healthy relationships.
The STARS program provides workshops and resources for pregnant and parenting teens in Nevada. Through this program, we help teens achieve success by teaching them real-life skills, empowering them to feel confident in their parenting, and helping them nourish their children’s development.
